The President of the Republic of Rwanda, Paul Kagame, has participated in the International Security Conference in Africa (ISCA2025), an event bringing together military and security experts from across the continent and beyond. As part of the conference activities, President Kagame toured a high-level military technology exhibition showcasing cutting-edge innovations and solutions in the defense sector.
The exhibition features military equipment and technological breakthroughs presented by 17 institutions representing various countries. These displays highlight advances in modern military capabilities and demonstrate the growing emphasis on collaboration and innovation in Africa’s security landscape.
This exhibition is not only a platform for knowledge sharing and partnership building but also a strong indicator of Rwanda’s increasing role in promoting regional security and defense cooperation. Rwanda’s track record in peacekeeping and regional military cooperation has continued to grow. Notably, in August 2024, the Rwanda Defence Force (RDF) conducted a specialized training program for 634 new recruits of the Central African Republic’s national army (FACA). This initiative underscored Rwanda’s leadership in capacity building and its commitment to supporting stability in neighboring regions.
